Huge expansion of capacity
Touchdown Kelowna is fast approaching with the BC Lions set to host two historic homes games here in the city as part of this exciting nine-day festival.
To accommodate the mega sporting events on June 26 and July 4, the Apple Bowl currently features temporary grandstands which were last on duty at the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
That will propel the total seating capacity from 2,200 to over 18,500.
Regan Bartel, from 104.7 The LIZARD and RocketFAN.ca chatted with the city's Jim Gabriel about the very exciting temporary changes going on at this iconic venue.
Don't forget to check out Touchdown Kelowna to learn about the abundance of events happening beyond the football games over the nine days.
