Here's the look of Rutland's new park

Fun on the slope

The design and layout of a new multi-million dollar neighborhood park in Rutland has been unveiled.

Construction will start next spring on an undeveloped site between Aurora Crescent and Froelich Road, behind Value Village and Rona near Highway 33.

The plus-3 million-dollar park will include a small and large dog run area, open lawn space,  shade trees and plantings, a playground, sloped play area, walking paths, and seating plaza.

Almost 90 per cent of the funding for the construction of the new park came from Development Cost Charges that property developers pay the city to help fund growth-related infrastructure.
